Projects
We, as the whole class, developed two main projects:Clearinghouse UVG
Clearinghouse UVG, a tool for searching geospatial data across Guatemala, the first one in the country. It is used as a tool for landforms research at the university. We used GeoNetwork as the base project, a huge thanks to the developers!
The objective was to use an Agile Methodology, I was in charge of the development environment tools, I mantained 4 different mercurial repositories and the tracker.
I consider the project a success, and even a press release was issued in the University website.
CampusMovilPro
A mobile web application for university students, featuring 4 different modules: Calendar, LMS Integration with Sakai, Clickers and Assistance.
The objective here was different, we worked with Object and Data Abstraction course students as "managers" trying to follow the Rational Unified Proccess methodology. My role was the architect of the Calendar and the core modules together with Hector Hurtarte. We used the Django web framework
